I have an appointment to try on a few of the dresses from the latest collection....,.thing is I set out to buy a pretty cheap ish dress but have totally and irrevocably fallen in love with this designer. Has anyone had one of her dresses? Is it worth spending out? .....and if its not too nosey how much did you spend on your dress?

I had a Maggie Sottero dress. It was so beautiful, I felt amazing wearing it. Cost me £1200 9 years ago! Was really worth the money imo.

I wore one, it's been discontinued now but it was a version of the grace lace dress but had little cap sleeves. It was £800 brand new but I bought it off ebay second hand for £99 including the storage box it had been put away in.

If you love a particular maggie dress and aren't adverse to it being second hand you can still keep costs down.

Have fun trying on dresses Grin

Ooooh didn't think of that! Great idea, I shall be glued to eBay from Saturday now. The one I think I want is literally toooo beautiful. I am not s girly girl at all, but it just makes me want to prance around and sparkle. Haha. It is however almost 1400. ( gulp!) a horrendous amount of money so here's to eBay!!

You might have a little more luck here than on ebay. Good luck

I had a maggie sottero dress 8 years ago.... it was the first dress I tried - tried many more afterwards, and came back to it! :)

you can check out nearby stores to see if they price them differently. I did, and finally bought it a couple of hundred quid cheaper.

I had one 9 years ago, I think it was called felicity but not sure. It cost £800 and I sold it a couple of years ago for £200 Grin

I started of wanting something cheap from somewhere like here but as time goes on I'm moving towards something a bit more expensive...I can't afford MS though Sad

I've also just discovered these dresses for my bridesmaids. I fell in love with a couple of dresses before I realised how much they are. Much more than I was planning to spend...

I thought I wanted a maggie sottero dress, having fallen in love with it online. When trying on others in the shop, the assistant suggested a different one. I was sceptical as it wasn't what I had in mind at all. I tried it on and fell in love. It was half the price too!
Just keep an open mind when you go to try dresses on. I'm very Envy. I loved trying on all these gorgeous gowns. Wish my sis would announce a date so we could go and try on some more.

Thanks for the replies all! I shall go check out those links now :-) definitely keeping an open mind, and if I can find something I love a lot cheaper then I will be a very happy bunny! Think the actuall trying on is going to be quite chaotic....what with my two year old boy, my 3 year old sister and just my mum to look free them plus advise in a very very small shop...:-/ bloody good job that there will be bubbly available :-D

My wedding dress was a Maggie Sottero and I loved it. I can't remember how much I paid to be honest but I think it was around the £900 mark.

Which dress are you after? Can we see?

I had a Maggie Sottero dress too, difference was I hired mine Smile

I'm not particularly sentimental and I knew that I would never wear it again and it would spend the rest of it's life up in the loft so I was happy to give it back again after I had worn it.

RugBugs
Was your dress the Grace Kelly one?!
Before actually getting engaged I looked on the MS website, saw this lace dress with cap sleeves and loved it!
No idea how much it cost...then rechecked website the other day and it's no longer listed Sad
Did you sell your dress on in the end...?!
