I work down the road from there (not far past edgeware road station) so could pop down easily enough if you still need anyone

I'm also in Putney (shoots sidelong glance at ethelb) and was about to say I could do it, then I remembered the school run. Darn! I suppose it would be frowned upon to abandon one's children to attend a stranger's wedding, wouldn't it?

tribpot Thu 17-Jan-13 15:58:08

So jealous of ethelb, how exciting to be a witness at a 'secret' (sort of) wedding smile

ethelb Thu 17-Jan-13 15:45:10

I'm in Putney and I can make it to Westminster on 14 Feb. PM me with details if you want.

Congratulations!

MmeLindor Thu 17-Jan-13 15:43:52

Congratulations, hope you find someone (I am too far away or would have loved to have helped)

LinzerTorte Thu 17-Jan-13 15:13:04

Congratulations - that's where we got married too. smile

Sadly am too far away now.

MrsDeVere Thu 17-Jan-13 15:08:46

Dammit! I have just booked in to have my tattoo that day.

I was walking past Birmingham Town Hall once and got dragged in to be a witness.

First and last time I have ever been to Birmingham.

Hope you find someone.

PurplePidjin Thu 17-Jan-13 15:07:40

Congratulations thanks hope you don't mind, I've posted a link to thread on a friend's wall on facebook - she's a mumsnetter in London. I'm sure we can find you some willing volunteers!

izzyishappilybusy Thu 17-Jan-13 14:48:20

I'd love to - but your too far away I'd repost with London in the thread title

AngelWreakinHavoc Thu 17-Jan-13 14:46:41

Maybe you should ask on Mumsnet local?

Katz Thu 17-Jan-13 14:46:38

Wish it was sheffield - I've always wanted to do this

AngelWreakinHavoc Thu 17-Jan-13 14:45:52

AngelWreakinHavoc Thu 17-Jan-13 14:45:06

Congratulations. Where are you getting married?

westminster11 Thu 17-Jan-13 14:44:26

Sorry forgot to add the detail its at the Westminster registry office - old marlyborne town hall in London.

Hi we are having a really small civil ceremony and we don't want to invite family or friends as we have already done the big indian wedding.
We need 2 witnesses on the 14th Feb this year at 3.15 for half an hour. If anyone is in the area please let me know.
