Where to look for bridesmaid dresses?

I'm maid of honour for my sisters wedding next summer and she has asked me to be in charge of the bridesmaid dresses There will my sisters two best friends and I and then two little preschool-aged flower girls. The idea is that the bridesmaids will be in dresses of the same colour but each choosing a style they like and the flower girls will be in ivory with either a matching colour sash on their dresses or coloured flowers in their hair to tie them in with the rest of us.

I've looked at Debenhams, JL, BHS but don't really know where else there is to look, there are probably loads of places that do bridesmaid dresses but I've never heard of them. Can you link any to get me started? Thanks Grin I love dress shopping!

Have a look at prom dresses and christmas party dresses (then buy in January) and for the little ones look at first communion dresses.

Have you thought about having something made? I went to one wedding where the maid of honour, bridesmaid and flower girl all wore the same material but the maid of honour's was a dress suit, the little girls had dresses.

What is the colour theme?

I went to a wedding on Saturday and all the bridesmaids dresses were from Monsoon and were gorgeous. Not traditional, but gorgeous.
They do beautiful flower girl dresses and you could always make/buy sashes to add on.
I wore an LK Bennett dress when I was a bridesmaid.
Definitely worth thinking about dresses that aren't specifically bridesmaid dresses.

I was just about to say any good high street retailer like Monsoon or Coast. Possibly Phase Eight or Hobbs when they go into sale.

I'm having vintage Vogue dresses made as I have the problem of two older and 2 younger bridesmaids. The youngest one will be in a white flower girl dress with co-ordinating sash
