Anyone married in Anglesey?

Me and DP decided last night that we would get married Grin We have absolutely no money and we have asked the local registry office to send us a pack with all their prices in. I know, through research, that we could do it for about £80 if we just went with two witnesses and didn't bother with new clothes etc.

But...It appears I have been bitten by the wedding bug and would be even more excited if I could have a nice little wedding and I have seen a dress on Monsoon that I would love and it isn't expensive...

Has anyone got married on Anglesey? Or, to be more accurate, has anyone got married on Anglesey for really really cheap?

Oooh how exciting!
No real idea, but wanted to say hello as I know Ynys Mon very well (used to live in Bethesda, have friends in Star and Llangefni, and I go to Mona Car Boot Sale embarrasingly often... :o )
I don't know if you'd consider crossing the straits, but we married in Hendre Hall and it was very, very cheap (8 years ago).
Show us the dress then! :)

Thankyou both! I've only just seen the replies.

We did look at Hendre Hall but DP vetoed it, as well as the vic. He is proving to be very picky. At risk of outing myself, do either of you know the harbour front in Anglesey? I think that's where we are going to have it. They serve lovely food and are happy to cater to DPs food wishes Grin

Oh, and I don't have a dress yet. I want to lose about four stone before I buy it Blush I know I'm pushing it, but I think once we've set the date I can really go for it. In reality, even if I just lost a stone and a half I would be happy.
