How much is a good budget for the cake

I like the cupcake idea, and i'd need about 40 cakes.

What would you expect to be a good price, Im totally lost!

Depends on lots of things- buttercream or icing on top, foil or paper cases, flavour/s of cakes, sugar decorations. I would expect to pay no less than £1.50 a cake and that's without any kind of plaque or decoration on top.

do check out your local farmers market for cupcake makers you might well get a better price from a smaller company than you would from someone who's doing the wedding fairs.

We're making our own cupcakes (or my sister is!), dead easy and cheaper!!

I've just got mine from m&s was going to be £38? 75p each for 40 cupcakes and found hiring stands cost £30 with £10 back on return, however m&s have got a buy 2 get one free on fruit wedding cakes at the minute it cost £64 for 2 large iced cakes and one medium one that will serve a lot more
