What did your DH say when you got to top of the aisle?

Mine said 'Where have you been?' (was late) and had to be prompted by registrar during ceremony and myself after ceremony to say I looked nice and he liked my dress.
Secretly was a little bit disappointed but the rest of the day was amazing so I cope somehow, heehee.

He siad it's so hot and I said I know I feel so sweaty; tres romantic hey! Was 85 degrees in July in London, we'd been together 12 before we got married, now 22 years in total so very us!

Mine said "you look nice".

Then the vicar cleared his throat at me so I had to shut up.

You have lipstick on your teeth-amazing really as I was half an hour late,so there were many other things he could have said.

Mine didn't say anything at first, he looked a little shocked lol. Was a whirlwind romance. Halfway through the ceremony, at the end of a song he turned and said "by the way you look fantastic" I cried for the rest of it and Vicar had to ask me to repeat my vows pmsl

Nothing. He had a fixed grin on his face and looked like he was about to shit himself with nerves. Grin

'Sack of spuds' - its a long running joke between us

Mine said absolutely nothing. Well to be fair he couldn't speak, he was gasping for airShock

He and his best man decided to have a smallish drink while waiting for their car and ended up watching the 2-o-clock race on tv. Unfortunately our wedding was meant to be at 2 so by the time he realised and got to the church he was a tad late.

He compounded this by racing full belt up the very long aisle of our church, much to the disgust of the priestAngry

Vicar was ill. we ended up with a replacement. As I got to the altar DH leant over and whispered in my ear "this one looks like Ted Danson"! It was an entirely accurate description! :o

"You look fantastic!"

But it was my dad that brought the house down by kissing my hand as he gave it to my husband. Not a dry eye in the house!
