Vow Renewal Questions

Some friends are renewing their vows, and I'm struggling a bit on the etiquette, clothes wise we're dressing as for a wedding as it's at a nice hotel and the "bride" is wearing a wedding dress, so that's fine.

Do you send a card? Can you get wedding vow renewal cards? I've looked in a couple of card shops and I can't see any.

And what about a gift? Naturally they don't need anything as they've been married for years. We've thought about a case of wine, and thought we'd drop it over to them a few days beforehand, does this seem OK.

We gave friends wine. We gave 6 bottles but different wines, one that would be suitable for drinking for the next 6 years on their anniversary. We have a local independent wine shop and just said how much we wanted to spend and they selected the wines for us. I then wrapped each one up and put a label on it with the year it would be suitable for drinking.

You can get plain acceptance cards or try one of the online card shops like moonpig where you can customise cards.
