Baby bridesmaids...

Hmm, what should I dress 3.5yo DD1 and 9mo DD2 in for the wedding? Bigger bridesmaids are in this, I'm in a big white frock, with homemade colourful flowers from scraps and knitting.

We are going to the park and playground during the wedding, I'm not too fussed about the kids looking perfect, but if they could not look an absolute mess, that would be good.

I'm thinking maybe a little romper suit of some kind for DD2, then she can crawl and wriggle without a dress getting in the way.

DD1, some kind of frilly dress is a must or she will be disgruntled.

Budget of around £20 per child. I thought this bit would be easy, I saw loads in the shops, but then went I went to buy them they had all gone and been replaced by a sea of pink.

Have a look in Monsoon for your older DD's dress, I'm sure you will find a party type dress for her in the sale.

Ooh, is there a sale?

I think there is a monsoon in Newcastle...

(I live in the 1970s, I have to go to Newcastle for things like brands that aren't asda and coffee that isn't Nescafe)

www.marksandspencer.com/My-Unusual-Friends-Cotton-Tights/dp/B003U8BMUQ?_encoding=UTF8&categoryNodeID=53882031&node=47111031&mnSBrand=core&ref=sr_1_12&qid=1281085253&sr=1-12&rh=n%3A47111031%2Cp_91%3A9-12%20mths&page=1 This would be nice for younger dd, has purple in! They also have white dresses in M&S but not at all practical for 9 month old especially if you are going to a playground!

Could put DD2 in this and this, perhaps?
