Perseid meteor shower ~ peak 11-13 August

but according to this it's supposed to be even better this year.

Looking at our weather forecast I'll see nothing due to clouds. Was in St Andrews on Monday night with beautiful clear skies, but was too tired to go down to the beach for some sky gazing.....was also still rather windy.

It is looking cloudy for the peak days but might be OK over the weekend ~ should still be a chance of seeing some meteors then.

We have broken cloud here (Leicester) at the moment ~ hope it clears a bit later on. They're getting quite excited about it all on Spaceweather!

After 2 cloudy nights, we have clearer skies tonight ~ hopefully it'll stay that way 'til 11ish when I go and take a look.
