Just seen this

I wonder what will be in store for us, and the rest of the world?

I saw a report on the BBC. Interesting.

For us, does it mean a severe winter?

interesting. Lets see how it pans out towards the end of summer. Its possible it may affect our summer, but the evidence seems to point to it having a fairly weak effect on uk summer weather, with other factors tending to over ride the signal.

have to say, would be nice if it warmed up a bit!

It'll be interesting to see if/how this affects our weather. I think the last El Nino event was 2009 and that winter was a cold one.

OYBBK ~ could do with some warmth ~ our forecast for tomorrow is 10C! I think we've had days in winter when it's hit that!

sadly not. although from time to time the south looks to see quite reasonable temps, at the moment we seem to be stuck in the pattern for the forseeable future.
