I don't mean below freezing every day but a little bit cooler.

I've got an open fire I'm desperate to light but it's just too warm down here in Essex!

I'm dying to wear my boots but it's too warm I agree. Didn't wear a coat today as I have been too warm on the train last couple of days.

We haven't had our heating on yet which I know is a good thing but I've got my lovely fleecy pyjamas to wear too. It's way too warm for October.

I do not want to have to pay for heating so hoping for more warmth. still not put it on. we may make it to november. of course this will now jinx the whole thing.

I have though started the six month broken record.... shut the door you are letting all the heat out.

I'm quite happy with not having to have the heating on :0) (both because of the cost and because it dries my skin out, makes me feel stuffy).

I'm still out and about in a t-shirt Grin

I'm waiting for it to get cold too so i can use my wood burner. My cottage is averaging an internal temperature of about 20 at the moment so no need for heating as yet and looking at the Netweather model thread it's looking good temperature wise for the rest of this month at least especially in the South.

I love the cold crisp mornings with a heavy frost but heating bills last year ( i only use the wood burner at weekends as its a bit old and ineffective ) make me happy to leave off the central heating for a little while yet. Plenty of time for it to get really cold and for e-on to fleece me yet!

Sally, we are in Essex also. No heating yet but I have used the log burner twice so far...more for the cosiness than necessity. DH and DS still in shortsSmile

GFS has today come up with a solution that bringers cooler temps in the first week of November. It didnt iirc have that solution yesterday, so it may not come off. Much of next week is ridiculously warm with widespread temps in the high teens, perhaps 20C in one or two areas when the sun comes out.

Our heating has come on once. We all cooked despite it being set pretty low, so we turned it off again! I'm rather enjoying looking at my low heating bill but at some point we do need to transition to winter. (or do we?...)

What is it with men and their shorts? Are they that desparate for a good airing?

"I've got an open fire I'm desperate to light but it's just too warm down here in Essex!"

Is this a stealth boast?

It has been fairly mild up here in Yorkshire, but not warm. It was 6 degrees the other night.

What temp do you put your heating on. I put ours on at 21 to 21.5

That's in the main room so it's much cooler in the rest of the hous. I'll even put it on in summer if it's been a chilly grey day.

I think it was on for 12 hours yesterday.
