met office

looks like we could get more of the thunderstorms moving up from the south - maybe some homegrown ones too? Very much a hit or miss affair though with some perhaps seeing lots and others nothing.

Lots of lightning over the South Coast. No rain yet!

I'm on the south coast. We had torrential rain today causing flash flooding as well as thunder and lightning. It was epic! Won't be pleased to see more tomorrow.

Torrential rain in Basingstoke this afternoon around 4:30pm. Me and the neighbours were frantically bringing our washing in.

Somerset here and we have lightning in the distance, haven't heard any thunder yet. No rain but I really need it - feels very muggy and close and I have a headache!

In South Wales here and had some big rumbles and lightning about half hour ago - but still no rain. It is calm, quiet (currently) and BOILING.

It is very warm for September. Big contrast to the second half of August.

Mid-Hampshire: A couple of lightning flashes + thunder this morning; some rumblings of thunder off to the east this afternoon; and now a wodge of stuff approaching us from the Channel.

I'm getting very confused this year - the weather seems to be all over the place. I'm sure it was autumn last week, and now we seem to back into summer. Confused

the weather warnings have moved further north than yesterday.

it is often lovely and warm in september, just as the children go back to school.

Brilliant storm here for at least an hour overnight - north london

We seem to be in for another glorious day here in Greater Manchester - it was beautiful yesterday, and has started that way again this morning.

It's been at least a couple of weeks since we had any rain to speak of.
