Very calm here in south Derbyshire, light rain but that is all. Have we missed it do you think?

Thanks for the new thread.

Luton: Still much the same, very windy, minor garden damage, can still hear aeroplanes taking off and landing.

Ok , now the wind's arrived . Have got to run outside to feed the horses in a minute . That could be interesting . Maybe I'll have another cup of tea first .

Very windy here in north kent. All traffic reports are saying only essential driving. Don't want to drive to work! X

Not heard much activity from east mids airport yet this morning, but it depends which way the wind is going as to how much we hear.

Strangely calm though, very strange......

Norfolk bod checking in - DH still a disbeliever and insisting we do the work and nursery run as usual.

He doesn't have to drive though. I do.

Just marking place. Has calmed down a lot in north surrey though still blustery. Husbands flight took off from Heathrow and pilot said worst had passed the area.

Morning everyone, no signs of damage in W. Herts. Wind doesn't look hugely strong, roads are a bit quieter than usual though.

Almost a non-event here. What a load of hype about nothing. Not very windy or wet. We've had much worse every winter from other storms. But my train cancelled anyway. Arrgh.

Not much happening in Derbyshire, very 'normal' right now.

Wind was very strong here in Dorset ( woke the dd's up ) but did not last long ( was worst between 3am and 5am ), we have a tree down up the road and a few loose fence panels, our trampoline has moved a little but no major damage, dh is about to leave for work and see if there are any trees on the roads.

Calm and sunny in surrey hills. Must have rained an awful lot though. The radio flyer in the garden is oveflowing. There was hardly any water in it yesterday.

Can't believe I had a rubbish sleep due to weather excitement and was a bit underwhelming actually!!

Does anyone know how far north it's now expected to go? I can't get the met office site up on my phone! We're Durham area and DH is working on an exposed hillside today, relying on Arriva buses to get him home. Unfortunately Arriva are prone to stopping in bad weather with no warning at all....Confused

lamposts swaying, leaves everywhere and i swear my house just shook o_0
