Oh well done smile busy day here! Can look more tomorrow. Unsurprised though.

Woke up to thick fog here and thought it was my eyes, but putting glasses on just was just as bad.
Is lifting now at last.

digerd Thu 05-Sep-13 10:52:17

The fog lifted about an hour ago. Sun not hot but the air is steamy as no breeze . at all .
Don't want pouring rain for hours on end, but will appreciate a cooler air tomorrow but not the damp confused. SE

GloriaSmud Thu 05-Sep-13 12:46:09

27.5C here (Leicester) with a very slight breeze at times.
Have been clearing my newly acquired (as of 3 weeks ago) allotment this morning and have probably managed to drink my own body weight in water!

Looking at the weather warning for us, it's all changed. There's no warning at all (for anywhere in the UK now) for tomorrow but we're covered by one for Saturday. But when you look at the hourly breakdown for our area, it's forecast to rain all day Friday with only cloud on Saturday confused

GloriaSmud Thu 05-Sep-13 13:16:10

Looks like the fog contributed to the awful crash in the SE this morning.

GloriaSmud Thu 05-Sep-13 14:16:13

And the weather warning for tomorrow's back ~ even more confused

GreggsOnLegs Thu 05-Sep-13 14:18:39

Ffs we're going to legoland on Saturday <sulk>

digerd Thu 05-Sep-13 17:55:27

We had 27.6 in the shade at 3pm. Now sky has hazed over and 25.9. Can't see any air movement/breeze.
Just waiting for it to cool down before little dog's last walk about 6.30.
Even when we have had a breeze during the day, by 6pm it has gone.

Awaiting tomorrow's weather with some trepidationhmm SE

grin

For most, I don't think there's much to worry about. In the se it actually looks ok by Saturday. For most there will be rain at times, sometimes heavy. Perhaps those in Wales, west midlands and the NW should be more aware. However things may change, so keep an eye on the warnings page in case.

I'd like slightly cooler temperatures and lower humidity. And I'd also like some rain, as we don't seem to have had much for a while here in my bit of Hampshire.

BlackeyedSusan Thu 05-Sep-13 23:38:51

soggy day then.

digerd Fri 06-Sep-13 06:15:10

I woke up several times last night as too hotconfused. This morning at 6am it is dark still but doesn't seem to have rained in the night.
TV weather still says it will rain today and be much cooler, but 15 degrees atm]hmm].
Got to take little dog out before 7am so hope it will be lighter and still dry hmm

GloriaSmud Fri 06-Sep-13 06:43:52

grin at Twit.
Just started raining here and it's a chilly 13.6C.

digerd Fri 06-Sep-13 07:18:29

Just got back from dog walk dry and still mild and humid out, 15.6 degrees.

Bunbaker Fri 06-Sep-13 07:36:29

It's 11 degrees here and pouring. We reached the dizzy heights of 20 degrees yesterday with hazy sunshine all day. It definitely wasn't hot or humid.

valiumredhead Fri 06-Sep-13 08:40:39

Feels like autumn here after a boiling hot day yesterday!

GloriaSmud Fri 06-Sep-13 10:44:40

Temperature's gone down to 12.8C. It's dark, cold, damp and miserable ~ a proper autumn day.

tywysogesgymraeg Fri 06-Sep-13 10:46:41

I'm taking a load of Brownies to meet about 500 other Brownies at a PGL weekend this weekend. I was really looking forward to it, but now I'm not so sure. I hope they have a lot of alternative indoor activites to fall back on. hmm

gleegeek Fri 06-Sep-13 10:49:38

I am confused! Forecast said torrential rain most of the day today, but we've had a few drops at best (SE) Outside thermometer says 16.5 degrees but it still feels quite muggy here... Yesterday got up to 31 apparently so it is significantly cooler but not quite Autumnal yet...

We've got a day out planned for Sunday but I don't trust the forecasts now... Hmmm

valiumredhead Fri 06-Sep-13 10:54:58

I could quite happily put a cardi on of I could remember where I stored them!
