OYBBK's on holiday at the moment so will a Deputy Smud do?

From what I understand, there will be a gradual warm up over the week with it getting quite hot ~ northern England could see temperatures of 21/22C, the Midlands 25C and London/SE, 27/28C by Friday.

Scotland looks cool and showery though, with temps ranging from 17-20C.

Hope I've got some of that right but it does look like a large part of England could be in a for a bit of a heatwave this week!

It was lovely at 30 degrees in the winter in Gran Canaria - not humid at all Smile.

It's been crap here for weeks. Cold and cloudy, going to Cornwall this week. Better be sunny there Sad

orangeandemons ~ could be the odd shower but things actually look OK for Cornwall next week ~ temperatures range from 19~23C.

For the rest of us, from sort of North Yorkshire downwards and away from the coasts, it's going to get rather hot ~ London/South could hit 28C next Wednesday/Thursday.

Orange ~ I've just seen you're going this week ~ more chance of showers end of the week and over the weekend before drying up next week.

Turned out lovely, but at 6.30pm, it clouded over thinly and it was so suffocatingly steamy, even in the house. We need a good thunderstorm to freshen the air in SE and a fresh breeze.

Today was perfect. Warmish but with a lovely breeze. I nearly stayed in to avoid the heat but went out in the end and it was lovely. Very muggy this evening though. And this from a summer-hater.

I know it's not reliable but could I have a long range forecast? Heading back to the UK for two weeks on 31 Aug and would like to know what to pack. Going to be in Central and SW England :)
