The sun has got his hat on
Hip Hip Hip Hooray....

Well not quite, but come tomorrow and onwards. Models show it hanging on right through the coming week and into the next Shock Potential for storms perhaps later in the modelling period.

Not quite nice for all, especially to start where western areas and Scotland could see much cooler weather. South eastern and central England are currently looking to be the favoured hot spots. Sunday looks to reach mid to high 20's but cooling off a bit on Monday.

It actually looks like the best weather we've had for a few years I think (if you arent about to explode with baby or a hayfever sufferer). Happy days!

At the moment that is what the models appear to indicate, through to the 17th, then the gfs ensembles start to split a bit but that's really far in forecasting land.

Nicely timed! (Though watch out for the odd thunderstorm by then, depending on where you are)

You can all thank a certain store for not delivering my garden furniture. It was suppose to arrive 1st July, but its being put back to I dont know when so therefore when we do eventually get it, it will pour down so for now while we are without garden furniture it will be absolutely bloody lovely for everyone. Please please tell me that pollen levels are going to suddenly diminish massively!

Report
OhYouBadBadKitten · 04/07/2013 18:29

Sadly i can't :( You can get a 5 day pollen forecast here (select pollen). Not explored how to get it for a more extended period of time but I'm afraid high pressures tend to act as a trap for pollutants and pollen, so it is unlikely to improve rapidly.

The air was so humid at 3pm, but at 6pm blue sky changed it to fresh and clean . We did get 26 degrees and mainly cloudy all day until after 5pm. Now completely clear sky.

Bit of a pain having to keep watering pots and shallow beds, but that is the con for the pro of sunny and warm days.
Just hope the humidity keeps low as only light winds are forecast for the hot week-end.

I heard warnings of high UV rays this weekend - so lashings of sun cream for the sun worshippers.
I'm in the dance hall for 2 hours this morning with air-conditioning. Worried about little furry dog at 3 pm and really should take her out now - am thinking about it as have my hair in rollers and don't normally get ready until 9.15 after reading the newspaper and doing 2 crosswords Hmm

I'm finding it hard to believe there is going to be a heatwave - outside my window is grey, gloomy and 'that rain that soaks right through you'!
