We're off camping on the 25th for the weekend in Worcester. I've looked at Met Check and Met Office and it's unclear whether it'll be showery, sunny or raining. Any idea? I know it's nearly 2 weeks away but as we're under canvas I need to think about what to pack if it goes Pete Tong Smile

Pack waterproof everything whatever the weather. As long as your tent/such like is waterproof you'll be fine. My dcs much prefer camping in the rain anyway! Grin

We've done camping in the rain before and it was fine apart from trying to dry the tent when we arrived home.

Would prefer a bit of sun Grin

Ok, well! Tis only the GFS model that I can look at going out that far....

Sat25th and sun 26th is a north south divide with the north quite wet and breezy, cool everywhere.

Mon 27th warms up and dries up apart from for norther Scotland.

Tues 28th. High pressure dominates, warm in the east.

GFS ensembles don't show too much of a rain signal and and a warming trend but nothng heat waveish at the moment.

Thanks OYBBK. Is 10 days in weather forecasting quite tricky still? What I mean is can it change as it gets closer to the half term so they have a more definite view?

Does that mean we stand a chance of some half reasonable weather in Northumberland after the weekend?

Ooh, any chance of a prediction for camping in north Norfolk please?

Other than the standard prediction of over-consumption of red wine Grin

Johnworf, very much so. Some weather patterns are more stable than others. I think 5 days is a reasonable timescale for s sensible forecast unless small low pressures are involved then things can be tricky even a day out.

Oooh yes, another one wanting to know what North Norfolk Coast will be doing.... Have hired a cottage for the long bank holiday weekend and lots of outdoor activities planned Smile

North Norfolk looks quite okish for the Sunday to Tuesday at the moment, wet on the Wednesday. I'm sure that will all change. Keep prodding me for forecasts but please be patient if it takes me a day or so, I've got an awful lot going on at the moment.

OYBBK - would you like you cast your superior forecasting skills a little further afield.........

like in the direction of Poland and points between here and there?

Just would like to know if we need to be aware of torrential gales, freezing temps or high winds - the usual Grin

Going on Monday 20th and back 2 weeks later.

please, please, please, please, pretty please Grin Thanks

whojam. At the moment, the first week looks unsettled (rather wet!) but hot. The second week it looks drier but pleasantly warm. Doesnt quite make sense!

here looking drier for half term week and perhaps warming up towards the end of the month.

OYBBK - I am also looking at your further afield advice - we are heading to Tenerife for our first hot holiday in yonks and yonks and have booked Tenerife (costa adeje) worryingly though as I thought the weather was guaranteed there holiday-weather .com seem to suggest RAIN from sat 25th May onwards.... can this really be true????? if so really might cry...
