I was wondering if you lovely ladies would have any ideas about 24/25/26 of August in Reading?
Going to the festival and hate lots of rain.

If it looks grim I will become a fan of everyone playing in the tents lol.

In the olden days I would have been drunk enough not to care but I take DC1 now so have to be sensible

Thanks ladies

Think I saw on another weather thread that OYBBK is off on hols atm, so not so good at forecasting as OYBBK 'Deputy Smud' standing in. I've been attempting to learn/read weather charts and link them with what netweather says, so from what I can tell, I think it looks a bit showery for Friday and wetter/heavier showers for Saturday and Sunday (think it's going to be very wet Sunday pm/night though might be wrong there!) Temperatures 15-20C.
Hope all that helps!

Well, silly weather all seems to have changed now! Yesterday there was a low pressure system going along the Channel that I think made Saturday and Sunday quite wet/heavy showers and this matched up with what netweather were saying too. Now that weather system doesn't look so bad and not so 'low', and comes more across from the direction of Ireland so atm, it looks like the festival could be mostly sunny with just a few showers Confused. This of course, could change again!

Thanks again. I've been keeping an eye on netweather and am looking at their cloud cover percentage, is that worth noting at all (one day says showers with cloud at 40ish %) ?

Not looking too bad but I knew this would happen as I got dc1 some wellies that he will only wear to Reading, that guarantees boiling sunshine :)

It's hard to work out the cloud cover and link it to possible showers/rain. Looking at netweather, they give quite a high cloud cover % at times but don't think it'll rain but at other times, there's not much cloud and they think there will be 'moderate showers!' I think at the moment though, Saturday looks the worst day for showers. Sunday could be one of those 'hit and miss days' for showers and it could be a nice day if they miss Reading altogether

Saturday definitely looks the worse day for showers/heavy rain with Sunday being the better day now, maybe a few showers but clearing later. Not a great Bank Holiday really Sad

Yesterday we had nothing but a few drizzle showers, am hoping for the same today.
Thankfully I come home each evening rather than camp so can have a warm shower/good nights sleep etc. Oh and dry clothes.
