I was just about to panic as DD2 has gone off to the stables all day without her coat, but I think it's going to miss us

even if she did take it, shed probably leave it on the yard and go poo picking miles away in a downpour as dd seems to end up doing so on a regular basis

You have obviously met DD2. I only send her with a coat if it's liable to be absolutely pouring at home time.

Anything less and it gets left at Guides, gym, school, friends etc. etc.

I've lost track of the number of kind people who have returned her jackets.

I should add that this is my painfully organised DD, so I'm at a total loss as to why she has such a blank spot for coats.

Yes, you're right DD2 will invariably be soaked when I pick her up and the last time she took it we were half-way home by the time we realised she'd left it behind in the tack room - grrr!!!
