Because I have been out and bought sledges in good time and in anticipation. Instead of the usual skidding down the hill in the slush to Halfords for it to all melt as we get home and children refuse to speak to me all spring.

So obviously, we will now have the warmest winter in decades. From tonight.

Sorry. I seem to have this power over weather. I go on holiday, could be to the fecking equator: grey drizzle. I stay home: chucks it down. I fly: planes are delayed by storms. I go on boats: seasick special. British heatwave: I've booked to go abroad. And snow preparation is always useless.

Good job I'm not taking it personally.

Well done Wilf. :) Perhaps you could go out and buy some sun lotion now as well (good luck with that in December) and it might trick the weather into being sunny (or trick it back into snowing)

We have a sledge, bought it after the snow last year! my cm had one and took the tiny dcs on the school run on it.

We should form a company and make a lot of money hiring ourselves for drought relief.

Dear God, Is it cos I is Mancunian?

Can you go back out & buy a bikini & a paddling pool?

I fancy a Snow Day for Monday - I might get through this ridiculous heap of Controlled Assessments I've got to mark! Wink

I could help with that one, Wilf. I have decided somewhat arrogantly that I am a rain goddess. Everywhere I go it rains - even if it's out of season. Destinations include:

Brazil
India
Sardinia
Jamaica
Barbados
Australia (out of a clear blue sky)
South Africa
Majorca

Many of these trips were with the same friend. She won't come on holiday with me anymore.

Wilf - I bought the kids some sledges about 2 weeks ago, just in case, as they all sell out.
DH comes in from work:

'It won't snow now you know - and the kids will have to look at those sledges, mocking them through the shed window, all year'

Hmm
