Weaning

An apology to Aitch and other BLWers...

I'm sorry, I didn't believe you. I was worried he'd choke and that he wouldn't eat enough.

Started weaning DS at about 5 months, he loved it, made him lovely casseroles which he lapped up from a spoon. Then it all went wrong and meals became a battlefield.

He's now 7 months and yesterday I decided to give BLW a go. I've never seen him happier. Today he has chomped his way through a weetabix and half a banana for breakfast, and three rice cakes, a dairylea triangle, a chunk of roast chicken and half a banana for lunch.

I'm still worried that he's not eating enough but he'll make up for it with more milk if needed. He's happy though, so I'm happy.

Thanks for giving me the faith

I'd turn a cartwheel for you if I could do such a thing!

PDT so happy to hear it's going well!! It really is boss and so much easier. Also you don't have to be there holding a spoon so you can go on MN get on with household tasks as long as you're watching your lo!

That's very true Moss, and also rather fortunate because he takes his time - lunch took an hour today!

it does take ages a while to begin with... don't worry, they get faster quite quickly .

That's loads of food at 7 months. Ds only hardly ate until 10 months.
