Hello. My little girl much prefers finger foods to mush, but even so, most things get pushed out of her mouth after she's had a little suck and chew (she's got two lower incisors just now). It's not the same thing as the tongue thrust reflex, as she doesn't do this with all food. So she does get some things down, but it's almost like, whilst she enjoys the taste of most things, she doesn't always recognise them as food.
Is this normal? Is there anything I can do, or just sit it out and hope she works it out soon when she gets more teeth? Does it matter that she's not eating much?
