I think DH must have been bl-weaned

His food seems to end up all over his glass, the chair, the table, the floor etc.
Or maybe he wasn't and that's why he doesn't seem able to cope with feeding himself solids

DD (13 months) eats less messily than him!

Is Baby Led Weaned the correct terminology?
