Sorry to go over old ground, but can someone remind me how much daily milk (in fl ounces) an 11mth old should have? Including via food.
DD eating solids (BLW) really well, and up until this week has had 3 x 7oz bottles (7am, 3pm & 7pm). For 3 out of the last 5 evenings, she has totally refused her evening bottle. She only has a light tea as lunch is her main meal, and have brought her 3pm bottle forward a little, but still not interested. She's not overtired, as still wants to play after her bath, but she goes to sleep no prob and still sleeps through the night.

Am just worried she's not getting enough milk/calcium etc.
Anyone think i should just start to cut down her 3pm milk, it's just i've been told to stick to 3 bottles till about 15mths.

Sorry so long,

TIA xx

I believe that the advice is that they should have 16-20oz of formula - but my DS is 11 months old and only has 2 bottles a day now (his choice - he suddenly started refusing both his mid-morning and mid-afternoon one a few weeks ago). I make both bottles upto 9oz and he will usually have 6-7oz of both (although tonight he has just drained it - typical!).

He eats well for the rest of the day - 3 good meals plus puddings and 2 snacks - so I wouldn't be too concerned if your DD decides to go to 2 bottles.

My HV told me that it was 18-20oz total so that included any milk in cereal ect and also that cheese and yoghurt was included in this.

From 8 months, when ds started having formula, he only had 8oz in morning and 8oz in the evening, the rest from cereal and yoghurt.

6 months to 12 months it should be 500ml - 720ml (18 - 24 oz)
12 months+ it should be 350ml - 720ml (12 - 24 oz)

I'm beginning to worry that I'm giving DD too much milk. She has 4 x 7oz bottles very happily but also eats 3 meals fairly well too. Should I be looking at reducing this to 3 bottles or just go with the flow ?

how old is she? i'd say by 12 months if she is eating well reduce to 4 6 oz bottles. ds was having 4 8 oz bottles. tried to cut it down to 3 but he wouldnt go for his naps without milk so we cut the amount down to 4 6 oz bottles.

She is coming up to 11 months now. I think I will retain the 4 bottles but start reducing the amounts to 6oz for all but her bedtime one.
Thanks for the advice !

that sounds fine. ds tends to have 7oz at bedtime most nights.
