When can DD have sweetcorn?

I've just made a fish pie (no prawns) and was planning to freeze some for DD but I've suddenly realised she might be better off not having it because it's got sweetcorn in it.

She's 6.5 months, has two teeth and eats a mixture of finger food and mash - I don't puree stuff, just mash it and she's happy with lumps - does this mean she'd be okay with sweetcorn too? It's kinda 'lump' sized but I'm worried she'll choke. Should I puree the whole lot or am I just worrying too much?

I think she would just spit it out or swallow it,as long as it's soft enough,don't see why it should be a problem.

She should be fine sweetcorn are too small to choke on - ie they are not grape sized IYSWIM.

think mine weaned on peas and sweetcorn........spent hours happily trying to pick the things up!

also don't get an almighty fright when it reappears perfectly formed in her nappy

id give it and as with anything keep eye on her.mine love it,although i dont like finding it in nappies!

Thanks everyone - I always keep an eye on her when she's eating so I'll give it to her and let her be the judge! Looking forward to those nappies...
