BLW and allergies

I'm going down the blw route with ds2 (not yet as he's only 12 weeks tomorrow but after 6 months when he's ready) and wondered what foods I should avoid letting him have as there are allergies in the family. I have asthma and hayfever and so does dd, she also (we think) has a dairy/milk intolerance. Also me, dd and ds1 are all allergic to pencillin, wonder if ds2 will be as well. I know I should avoid eggs and dairy until 12 months, is it 12 months? Is there anything else I should avoid?

Hi Jodie,

We have come across a couple of intolerances on our BLW journey! fortunately I keep a diary/blog of what she eats so was able to detect what and when she was affected.

I have put together an article on my diary for other mums with babies affected by allergies & intolerances. You may particularly find this useful. One of the ladies has made her own recipe book after having a little one with multiple allergies.

There is also a list and few links of things to avoid that may help you.
