stupid question alert

someone asked me if it is safe to introduce wheat and egg at 6 months.

i don't really know cause dd gagged on everything till 13 months and still won't eat eggs at nearly 2 yrs.

the weaning thing surely was a damp squib for me.

so what's the answer?

I think egg yolks are ok (if well cooked) but you're meant to hold off on egg white until after 12 months as it can be quite allergenic. I'm overseas though so the info I have may be different to British Guidelines.

I think UK guidelines are that you can give both wheat and eggs from 6 months. Eggs should be cooked until both the yolk and white are solid e.g. hard boiled egg, well cooked scrambled eggs, etc

I read that you should only give the yolk if you have a history of egg allergies in the family. Otherwise if both yolk and white are cooked thoroughly you should be fine.

My DD loves omlette and pnacakes!
