DS is 6 months are currently has 7oz feeds at 7am, 10am, 1pm, 4pm and 7pm.
Ive only just started to wean using Annabel Karmel. Hes on 1 solid at lunchtime at the moment after his milk. Now im confused as to do i give his solids after or before his milk???? And how do i reduce his milk? Do i reduce the amount in his feed or drop an entire one?! All advice says to reduce milk but no one mentions how? Or do i do bottle at 7am then breakfast at 8am then bottle at 10am then lunch at 1pm then bottle at 3pm then tea/dinner at 5pm then last feed with bottle at 7.30pm and split it out like that? Worried im over feeding! Its only week 2!
Thanks in advance.

You will find he will reduce his milk himself so you don't really need to actively do it for him especially as he has just started weaning. I did tend to split milk and solid feeds so they weren't given at the same time. I gave milk first and then solids an hour or more later

Mine is 8 months and I did roughly that routine you mentioned. Mines breastfed though so I don't actually know the amount of milk he has.

I used to feed food then gave milk as a "top up" and increased food the next time if he drank lots.

I agree with pixie that in my case my ds kind of reduced it himself and took less each time. Now at 8 months I give breast milk when he wakes then breakfast a little later then lunch then dinner then feed to sleep at night. He has milk throughout the day depending on what we are doing/if he can't settle for nap/wants comforting (He's teething) so some days he drinks lots of milk others he won't have as much.

Sorry if that wasn't much help! I think as with everything else you just kind of try it see what works for you.

Hi, I worried as you did with dd1 but it's true if they don't want it they'll not let it pass their lips! After a few days of that you'll know which bottle time to forget about.

In saying that, dd2 is here lol and I'm waiting on her to let me know which bottle to drop & no signs yet!

I feed her 7oz at 6, 10, 2 & 6. She gets some water from a cup with her lunch at 12 and tea at 5. She hasn't finished a bottle in a while so I know she's filling up. I'd like to drop the 10 bottle but she still seems to want it.
