Sorry the last thread got posted too soon!

Does this look okay for a 7 month old? He's very tall, very active, constantly busy and weight wise just under the 25 th centile always been.

4-6 am: various sleepy breastfeeds

8 am: 6 oz bottle

10 am: porridge and half of a small banana

(Goes to childminder as I leave for work)

12:30: Lunch - 3/4 tablespoons of whatever is available pork casserole chicken curry etc.

6 oz bottle to go with lunch.

3:30: pot of plain unflavoured yoghurt with fruit compote I make - this week is cherries strawberries and blueberries

5 pm: 6 oz bottle

6 pm : Back from CM and has a rice cracker or so isn't keen on a meal

6:30 pm: Quick breastfeed and bed

10 pm: 6 oz bottle dream feed.

So that's -

A few clustered breastfeeds
24 oz formula
100 gms yoghurt
Half a banana
Fruit compote
Lunch
Porridge made with milk
Finger foods like crackers and cheese

Why are you asking? Are you worried about something?

I am asking because sometimes people feel like they are shooting in the dark and a second or third voice from a fellow parent makes them feel confident on their journey.

Just remember every baby is different. If your little one still seems happy to have the amount of milk they're having (ie they're not fighting the bottle, which might be an indication it is time to drop that milk feed) and they aren't looking around for more food then there shouldn't be a problem. Sounds like they're getting plenty of dairy and a mix of sweet and savoury.

And fair enough for your reason, I just wasn't sure! I found weaning quite overwhelming at first with all the change and trying to fit in food and milk into the day. So much to think about.

Looks fine to me. My suggestion would be to mix it up a bit. Have toast or a crumpet instead of rice cake or rice pudding or banana custard or plain fruit instead of yoghurt. Maybe chuck an egg in somewhere.... Grin

For comparison my 7mo has:

Breakfast - porridge ror granola mixed with yoghurt and some fruit. Pancakes today.

Lunch - yesterday a date flapjack - today probably omelette or egg on toast

Tonight - pasta with veg sauce, yesterday inside of mashed potato cheese and salad

He normally gets 2 out of 3 of those meals as they are really for his preschooler sisters and sometimes he is in bed.

He is still bf on demand maybe - 6am, 9am, 1230, 1500, 1700, 1900, 2300. Am trying to phase out the 4am one so I won't write it down 😁

Sounds about the same as what my dd had at that age. Lunch was the last meal I introduced (no right or wrong way to do it, that was just more convenient for me) at around 8 months. Dd didn't really easy much until she was 9 months then quite quickly dropped daytime milk (she still wakes at night for milk)
