Avacado

My ds is 5 and a bit months old. I want to give him avacado to try. 2 questions: How do I know when it's ripe? How do I 'make it'? - Do I just mash it like a banana and should I add anything to it - water or milk?

Ripe when slightly soft when you press it (when unpeeled). Leave it near the bananas to get it to ripen quickly if it's a bit hard when you buy it. To serve, just peel and mash! It's also nice mixed with banana. Make sure your ds eats it straight away as it does go brown quickly.
