When did your dc eat proper amount

I'm trying not to get frustrated with my DD but how little she eats is starting to bug me.

For example for her lunch she had
2 strawberries
3 raspberries
3 cucumber sticks
5 small chunks of cheese
5 puff crisps

And she's ate practically nothing she just throws it about ! It's always the same. Do I offer her something else, fed by myself or do I continue to leave her to it herself?

I tend to do finger food style for lunch other meals fed to her on spoon.

She would probably eat her whole lunch if I fed it to her

How old is your dd?

I feed my 9 month old dd 3 meals a day but she doesn't eat as much as I'd like. Some days she eats more than others.

Breakfast will usually be something on toast. (Very small piece of toast - maybe half a slice of a regular loaf).

Lunch could be something to yours.

Dinner maybe some vegetables and potato or pasta and cheese and tomato and spinach or homemade bean burger. V small amounts.

Some days she'll really seem to eat a lot and I think I've made progress, the next day the food will all get thrown on the floor. I try not to get frustrated but it is hard.

My HV always said if you look at the size of your child's fist that is how much they should be eating roughly per meal. Dont get frustrated, my son is now 16 months and has always had a small appetite and I used to stress about it all the time xx

Also forgot to add that quite a few children I know including my own are not into eating much at lunch time and although I always offer different finger foods most of it ends up on the floor, however he does eat well at breakfast and dinner

Don't stress about it. My son was about 12 months before he started eating proper amounts and even now at 18 months he will have off days when all he wants to do it throw the food around and seemingly eat nothing! They all get there.
