We've done purées, now what?

So, we've been eating purées for a few weeks now and having breakfast and lunch - a variety of fruit and vegetables. I've read the books and have some idea of what should come next but I feel completely unsure still.
I know I need to introduce meat (proteins). At the moment, i have all sorts of fruit and veg purée ice cubes. Is it possible to cook chicken and then purée it and freeze it so I can add different veg each day? Would you cook chicken first then purée or the other way around? I'm clueless!
What other meats would you start with? What about fish? Just flake it small or purée? DD won't eat mushy peas, everything so far has been proper purée.
Any help greatly appreciated!

Annabel Karmel is very good for weaning recipes. There are many chicken recipes on her site. There are also lentils and beans for proteins. Have a look

Actually this link is better as it's all 6-9mo food

I just want to say that it's worth offering finger food along side purées as a few of my friends have struggled with the transition onto more lumpy and 'normal' food when they've got used to purée.
