How do you fit milk feeds, solids and naps into a day?

I've been offering my 6mo boy solids for 3 or 4 weeks now but I've not quite worked out how to schedule our day so that he's not too tired, is not starving hungry but is also not full of milk!

What does your daily schedule look like for this sort of age?

I very slowly worked up to 3 meals just before dd was 8mo. By then she was squarely on 2 naps so easier to do solids.

I wasn't typical in that I started with breakfast at about 8:30 as her morning nap had got bad and it seemed to be hunger, as breakfast got it back on track.

The next I introduced was dinner at about 4:30 (about 7months once 3rd nap dropped) as to be honest it kept her entertained til dad got home!

I think some dc take to food straightaway whilst others can take a while and prefer their milk still. This is actually ok. I was so concerned that my dc didn't want to wean immediately but with my third I just relaxed and let him go at his own pace!

Sooo what I did was give the morning feed, lunch feed, tea time feed and bedtime feed.

In between morning and lunch I gave a little food and the same between lunch and tea.

Yes this was only two times a day but it also got dc used to eating food.

Also when I was eating, where possible I offered little bits of my food.
