Help!!!! I've always been so lucky with my 13m old Twins...great sleepers/feeders/contented happy boys. until this week they have been wonderful at eating most foods put in front of them. They have always had a varied palate with lots of fruit and veg in every meal and worked well from purees through lumpy food & had been good with small versions of 'our' foods. Since the weekend though, neither of them have taken to any meal except breakfast. Sandwiches/home made pizza/ wraps/Pitta's are all thrown on the floor. Curries/cottage pie/pasta and veg/baked potatoes etc have all been refused off a spoon. Chunks of fruit, rice cakes and cherry tomatoes are all they will eat. Should I just roll with it & accept we have a blip & keep offering real foods with their fruit/toms etc on stand by for when its refused? I'm just getting cross watching so much lovingly made food thrown on the floor!
Help!!!

This is totally normal at this age. I would serve what you are eating so that you don't feel so bad about cooking for them, only for it to be refused.

If they through it on the floor just ignore, and eat your meal.

Don't offer alternatives. The only thing this teaches them is that if they refuse the food offered, something nicer might come their way.

Hopefully if you ignore it for a few days, they'll come around Smile
