My dd is nearly 9m and since having a choking incident I have been avoiding finger foods.

She isn't my pfb eitherGrin
Do any of you lovely mnetters have any ideas of what safe-ish finger foods I can give her without too much worry please?

At the mo we are still mostly eating mush, with 3 teeth, nearly 4 I think it's time I stopped hiding from the devil foodsGrin

Ooh exciting! Have you watched the difference between choking and gagging on YouTube and how to deal with choking?

Good non choking foods we found included pear, carrot, broccoli, sweet potato wedges, pasta but the world is your oyster really.

The only things I'd suggest avoiding really are apples unless cooked, unripe melon and plum, and some foods can stick to the roof of the mouth so check after bread and fruit with skin eg plum.

squeeze blueberries til their skin splits and cut grapes in half to avoid choking hazard.

strips of banana, toast, cooked veg e.g. broccoli, cauliflower, pasta, rice, potatoes, scrambled egg, etc

Avocado is great. Grated cheese and carrot (you can also grate apple) are fun. DD1 loved mange tout, green beans and tomatoes.
