Dry finger food

My ds has been trying solid food for about 3 weeks. He is definitely not keen on purées so we've gone down the blw route. He is mostly squashing and mushing the food around the table and throwing on the floor, whenever anything gets anywhere near his lips he looks fairly disgusted.

We've had the most success with dry things like toast and rice cakes which he quite happily licks and chews on but I can't think of any other dryish foods that would be suitable. So just after some ideas for dry finger foods.

I'll keep going with other finger foods as well but would be nice for both of us to have a few more "successful" meal times.

My dd2 waa exactly like this. As well as toast and rice cakes, I gave her fruit loaf (toasted or not), Soreen and crumpets. You can add butter, jam, lemon curd, honey (12m +) to toast and crumpets Smile

bread sticks? cheese scones?
hang in there - DS3 made a massive mess with his BLW but I pertty much tried him on everything from early on.
He still makes a massive mess (at nearly 8) but he is by far my best eater

Muffins (like English breakfast ones; not blueberry type ones) go down well here...

Thanks all, really good suggestions.

Doreen was an excellent suggestion I'd forgotten how much I like it
