Ds, 9 months, but huge (nearly out of 12-18 clothes)

Breakfast: 3 teaspoons porridge.

Lunch: Two carrot chunks, half a roast potato, green bean, strawberry.

Tea: Half a nectarine, small chunk of cake that his granny gave him when I wasn't watching.

Three breastfeeds, a few mouthfuls of water with breakfast and tea.

He does also still feed in the night (grrr).

Today DD has had:
7oz formula
Breakfast: Weetabix with whole milk.
7oz formula.
Lunch: Ella's kitchen pouch chicken Sunday dinner and a yoghurt, some Organix snack finger food.
5oz formula.
Dinner: Puree of broccoli, cauliflower and peas in cheese sauce, fruit pot.
7oz bottle before bed.

I'm a bit concerned about lack of finger foods and really need to introduce more at each meal over the next few days. Just get so nervous about it.

4am - breast feed (yawn)
6am - breast feed (double yawn)
8am - baby porridge and banana, water
12 noon - breast feed
2pm - mango and apple puree, crusts from DS1's toast (think these were mainly used for waving though, quite tickled at nanny's description of her DS waving the long stem broccoli about!), water
4pm - water, sweet corn rings and apple rice cake (mainly spat out)
6pm - apricot chicken (which was, apparently, the most disgusting thing ever offered to a baby!) small fromage frais, water.

Will have a bottle of formula at around 10ish I suspect.

Worried that she doesn't eat enough food Sad
You would think I would know what I'm doing by now Grin

I'm in northern Sweden and my partner hunts elk so we eat it a couple of times a week. He loves it, generally he is a real meat lover though.

Rubyooh that made me laugh out loud but then horror of horrors realised that could be me in a year or so. My ds is 6 months old and just loves boob. I'm back at work in2 months time and starting to panic as he will not take a bbottle. Trying to wean but without much success. Today we had....
Countless feeds until he got up at 10am (didn't settle until 4am)
11am porridge
11:30 bf
1;30 lentil puree & a yogurt. (after squodging cream cheese sandwich between fingers & then feeding it the dog)
300 bf
4pm bf
6pm tomato and basil pasta, pipedream
7pm bf
9pm bf

He might settle now til 12 if I'm lucky and will then have a feed about 2 and 5.

Pipedream, wtf that said ice cream, bloody autocorrect!

Report
RubyrooUK · 06/07/2014 21:45

Haha Kazza. Both my children managed to attend full-time nursery (DS2 from 7mo) while refusing bottles. Neither starved; both retained chunky legs.

Honestly though, DS2 must have read my inner thoughts where I was thinking "ooh I could really give up this breastfeeding lark now he's a toddler". NEVER even think it while they're in the room. Grin
