Hi all
DD is 11 months, on neocate and is due to start nursery in a month. I've been reading up and see that once they are one, babies should no longer drink from a bottle.
DD has 3 bottles a day (usually 6/7 oz each) and refuses to take the neocate from a beaker or cup. She'll happily sip water from a beaker, usually a few gulps before she just plays around!
Anyway, I've been thinking about cutting her afternoon bottle but she still seems to be hungry for it. Questions are:
- Is the nursery going to have any issue with giving a bottle to a 12 month old?
- Is it really that bad for them to drink milk from bottles past 12 months?
- How am I best weaning her off her afternoon bottle? Thinking I'll try to ditch that one and then work on the others! Hopefully by then I can give soya milk etc.
Any tips are appreciated! Thanks.
