How long can you leave puréed food in fridge?

We are doing purées for my 6 mo weaning and my question is, if I make a purée in morning can I let it cool to room temp and put in sealed container in fridge for next days lunch? Our freezer is on the blink.

Hi Rizzle!

When I started weaning my DD I used to do exactly that. I never kept one for more than 2 days as purée does 'go off' quicker than fruit/veg in it's normal form. I'm presuming this is ok, but I'm sure someone will tell me otherwise if not! grin

I used to keep the little pot at the back of the fridge (like with EBM) to avoid it getting warm if door is being opened a lot etc.
