Does food timing affect poo timing?

Or - how to avoid a night time poo?!

Just that really... If we feed DD at 3pm for her first tastes would this make a night poo more likely than if we fed her at breakfast time.... Or don't they work that way?

Yours cluelessly....

I don't know if it works that way, but maybe breakfast or lunch might be better anyway. Weaning can sometimes result in some digestive upset varying depending on what actually gets consumed + how your individual baby reacts to it. So it can be better to offer food well before bedtime to avoid any unsettled nights.

Does she poo at night anyway? If not, it probably won't matter. My DD stopped pooing at night quite early, and weaning didn't make it start again. I gave her her first tastes with her mid morning bottle, so 10.30-11ish, but that was because she was awake then, which was a rarity for her! Also I think they recommend earlier in the day incase of possible allergies.
