My dd started weaning at about 6 months. We have upped her food week by week.

Last week she was really constipated, only passing rabbit like dropping so for 2 days she just had milk aswell as abit of orange she is happily pooping now!

What did i do wrong?
Im really worried about starting again incase it happens again. She was in so much pain. Sad

Any ideas?

I wouldn't worry too much, it's a lot to get used to for their little tums. Some foods are more clogging than others, weirdly bananas can be. What was she having at the time. Orange or prune juice are good for relieving (not too much though). Digestion should settle soon.Smile

Oddly enough she has been eating banana!

She also has her 2 bottom front teeth coming through, could that not be helping?

When dd was teething it was more the opposite iyswim.
Try reducing banana, because that definitely uses to clog dd at that age, and see if that helps. It might not be that but it's worth a shot..Smile

Avocado is soft and an easy first food and it goes through mine a quite a speed so that could be a good one to try.

When my DD (7mo) hasn't been for a couple of days I put her in her door bouncer - it always gets things moving! Slightly unconventional suggestion I realise. Oh yes, and more water. DD loves water.

I've been weaning 7 month DD fora few weeks and she had a very runny bum for 2 weeks. The dr said to give her banana which helped to calm things down so maybe too far the other way would cause constipation.

Give lots if water in a sippy cup - dd loves it (although I get a bit wet Grin)
