When did you reach 3 meals per day?

DS is 5 and a half months. We started solids just under 2 wks ago and are on rice for brekkie and veg/fruit for lunch. When did you start introducing dinner too? We haven't yet dropped a milk feed and it seems between him and my toddler, someone is eating something almost every hour of the day!!

Well, The NHS advice is to move to 3 meals a day by about 8 to 9 months, so you've got a while to get there.

That's roughly what happened with my DS although I did BLW.

Day 3 here and he started on 3 days on Saturday. Though he is also doing BLWing, so inevitably the majority if not all, has ended up going on the floor!

DD was about 8 months when we got to 3 meals a day. I fed her at the same times as her older brother, what with school runs and working, she had to fit in. She was BF so if she got hungry at any time I just fed her, by 6 months a feed only took a few minutes. The advice is not to drop milk feeds at 5 1/2 months, food should be extra to milk, not instead of and milk should stay the main source of nutrients until nearer a year old. DD had lunch and tea from about 7 months, before that it was just lunch. Breakfast was the last meal I added in. She was over 6 months when she started weaning so she got meat/ dairy/ everything really from very early on. ( and she got honey too, somehow I missed the advice not to give honey before you are 1, luckily no ill effects from this!). To be honest DD loved food and was definitely getting most of her nutrients from her meals and not from milk well before a year, I went with her demand. She ate a good variety so I saw no harm in it.

Probably 8 months when he was consistently eating 3 meals a day.

We seem to gave accidentally gone to 3 meals in 3 weeks of starting. I keep offering BF, but don't know how much he's dropped as have always fed ad hoc/ on demand.

Started at 24 and a bit weeks when he was able to pick up, eat and chew banana. Then he was eating the bobbles off broccoli. Brekkie is redibrek or weetabix - but I do make this with expressed or formula so it's got milk in there.

Today he had maybe a quarter of warm weetabix with formula. Lunch was cooked carrot sticks, cucumber sticks, a finger of Philly and avacado sandwich. Tea was fish pie that I hamdended with extra whole milk.

That should say hand blended!

Ok sounds like I can take a bit of time getting going. DD wasn't long ago but I seem to remember blending for a long time. This time I'm keen to do more blw and get everyone eating the same, at the same time ASAP!
