Weaning

Is it ok to give a 7 month old curry?

My ds is fully weaned and the HV said after 6 months you can give them pretty much anything.

I made a curry last night and mixed it up for him but I'm wondering if it will hurt his little insides - it's not very hot as I don't like spicy food much.

He has had chilli once before and it didn't seem to give him any problems.

He will let you know if he doesn't like it - if't too spicey, mix some yoghurt into it.

Btw, there are things which he shouldn't have yet - eg, honey.

I gave my LOs garlic, black pepper and spices from about that age, and they loved it. As long as you start very very mild, he should be fine - you'll soon know if it disagrees with him.

Thanks - yes I know there are things he shouldn't have:-
honey, salt, sugar, peanuts etc etc etc
I just wanted to check about spicy food, herbs, garlic etc!

Thanks for the yoghurt tip - I'll try him with it tonight!
