Ds is 8 months too. He's eating a lot of avocado and banana. I spread the avocado on salt free rice cakes, pita, oatcakes or just toast fingers. Hummus is good too. I found a smooth salt free cashew butter that's really good spread on toast for breakfast. I've started trying him on bits of fish so he sometimes has tuna. If we have fish for dinner I keep a bit aside and make it into mini fish cakes with mashed potato and fry them.
