she had a cheese straw today and seemed to enjoy that so thought I'd try making her some muffins for breakfast Smile

I've got Annabel Karmel's Top 100 Finger Foods from the library - haven't used it yet as we are just starting on solids this week, but it has a wide variety of recipes in it, including 'dinners', muffins, little quiches, etc.

Try the mumsnet recipe section, I've see fruity muffins and the like in there.

The BBC good food website is also very good for easy recipes.

I have never used a cookbook. DD has just eaten what we do

But MrsM, presumably you already ate healthy, homecooked from scratch meals. Some people don't before they have a baby and need a bit of assistance in how to go about it.

that's me jolly sleepy giant! I've always tried to cook healthy meals but unfortunately never really learned to cook so my knowledge is well and truly basic (possibly even less then basic Sad ).

hence why I'm on the hunt for a baby cookbook Smile and I'm realllllllly hoping that my devotion to make sure my little one eats healthy makes us as a family ear healthy (and im reallllly hoping when she's older i can make sure she knows how to cook!) Smile

Sparkers, I've just done a quick google about defrosting and found this site which seems to have a lot of good advice:

www.foodsubs.com/Defrost.html

The bit about defrosting baked goods is near the bottom of the page.
