Hi there, advice needed please! My DS is now 7 months (today!)and I started weaning him at about 5 months as he was very large and constantly hungry. Everything went perfectly with the purees but since introducing more textured foods he absolutely refuses to eat anything savoury. Basically he either clamps his mouth shut or gags and spits out the lumpy bits. I am only having this prob with savoury stuff as he adores his yoghurt and fruit, even though this is lumpy, too, and will eat this till the cows come home. I don't want him to get too used to sweet tastes for obvious reasons but we have a history of eating disorders on my side of the family and I don't want to make this into an issue for him. Whenever me and my OH have our dinner he shouts at us to share! Does anyone have any experience of this problem and can you give me any advice, words of comfort and experience?? Many thanks! Wink

Have you tried sharing your dinner with him? At 7 months, finger food should be fine.
