When to wean your baby onto solid food? And how to do it? Read (purée-splattered) tips from other Mumsnetters
Agree just be lead by him. It's 20floz/600 ml per day of first stage formula. Once he's on 3 meals a day he might start to cut down on his milk.
I'd let him lead the way as he will naturally drop his milk intake as his solids increase.
My ds is 6 months old so we have started weaning. We have built up to two meals a day, although he isnt actually eating that much! He has 4 milk feeds a day of 8oz and has dropped his night feed. This was fine before we started weaning but I understand that he should be on c600ml a day whilst on solids. So i am a bit confused what to do with milk until he is actually eating... do i just go with the flow and wait for him to naturally take less milk or do i start trying to cut down his milk gradually? Thanks x
