dd2 started looking as if she was interested in food at about 19 weeks so i gave her some baby rice at tea time and then a bit of potato the next day both of which she liked.

when i came to vary the food though she has spat everything out (carrot, apple, pear, banana)and even threw the whole meal of sweet potato and baby rice up the other day. she's now 21 weeks. i really don't want to just feed her bland stuff just so she'll eat it so i've now decided to leave off the the feeding altogether and try again at closer to 6 months. sound ok?

Sounds fine to me.

We began weaning DS at 6 months - he just wasn't interested, so gave up after about 3 days of trying. Would either just not open his mouth, or would just spit it out.

Tried again about a month later - and it was fine!!!
