My DS 15 months old has gone off his food. He used to eat anything, sit nicely at the table and share our food but now he is refusing everything. I am worried he is not getting enough nutrition. He drinks plenty of follow on milk, juices etc and is not losing any weight or reduced in his daily activities. HV says its just a phase. Anyone out there had similar experience with this?

Follow on milk will fill him up and it can also make children constipated which will reduce his appetite.

I'd keep offering the food and don't stress too much if he doesn't eat it, try to look how much he eats over a week rather than a day, but I'd really cut down on the follow on milk. I'd just offer the milk in the morning and before bed. There is some information here on how much milk he should be having.

Probably just a phase. Why be eating when you could be doing more exciting things like running around and falling over?

Over one year he can have full fat cows milk, so follow on milk isn't really necessary (and probably more expensive). At that age I think my DS had milk with breakfast and before bed and in food, but not other than that.
