PS3 games to play with DH?

So, thanks to advice from mumsnet, we purchased a secondhand PS3 for DS (6) for Xmas with skylanders and minecraft. Massive success. Saving pocket money and selling old toys on eBay (therefore decluttering) for trap masters etc. I've helped DS with some of the trickier boss defeats and really enjoy playing together (as does DS).

I also purchased myself tomb raider trilogy which I like to play occasionally in the evenings when DH is on the laptop doing his accounts and spotifying and whatnot.

Saturday nights are always our night for being together - nice meal, decent bottle of wine, dvd etc etc.
Before DS, we had a wii and used to have a laugh at playing wii sports and Mario kart. Even before that, I had a PS1 and played original tomb raider and DH (then DBoyfriend) played resident evil and we both played Tekken together and some other games I can't remember clearly (uni days...).

We're both so out of touch with gaming that I have no clue what is around that is 2 player, let alone what me and DH would enjoy together.

Can anyone recommend any 2 player games they are enjoying?

Co-operative play with any of the Lego games? Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light (download only isometric game). Portal 2. erm.. Dh is having a think and looking on the shelves. I'm horrible at co-operative games so can't think which ones we have that do both. Have a look on the PS Store, there's a few on there but off the top of my head I can't remember the names, sorry! Oh there's a good one called Chariot, says DH...

Is co-operative play the same as 2 player? Am I that out of it that I don't know that!?
May explain why my searches have been lacking...

I recently bought DH a PS4. We're thinking of getting Rocket League and Rayman which are both meant to be lots of fun.

We've also got Until Dawn which is single player but fun to do together.. Although we do sometimes disagree on what to do!

I second the Lego games, Lego Star Wars is brilliant, but so is Indiana Jones, and the Harry Potter ones. We are playing Lego Jurassic World together just now which is ace.

Little Big Planet is fun too, and you can design levels for each other to play. It's light hearted and up to 4 people can play together so your ds could join in too. When it came out we heard about a guy who proposed to his girlfriend with a Little Big Planet level he created. Dh was really annoyed I heard about it too as he thought that would've been a great way for him to propose!

I think Goldeneye should be pretty cheap and the multiplayer on that is great fun.

There are Tekken games for the PS3 as well, loads of fun. We quite enjoy watching the other game too, with puzzle type games we help each other out, like Uncharted, and with big quest ones like the Elder Scrolls games.
